About Gurellu Chutney Pudi

Gurellu (niger seed) is grown across North Karnataka. Roasted and ground with chilli and garlic, it makes a dark, aromatic pudi that is hard to find outside the region.

How to eat it

  • With kadak rotti and curd.
  • With dosa and a spoon of oil.
