Our story
Food from home, for people far from home.
Uttaramane (ಉತ್ತರ ಮನೆ) means "home of the north" in Kannada. Our tagline, ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಅಡುಗೆ ಮನೆ, means "the kitchen of North Karnataka". That's what we want to be for North Karnataka families in Bengaluru: a taste of the house you grew up in.
Lakhs of people from North Karnataka live in Bengaluru. Ask any of them what they miss and the answer is usually food: a stack of kadak rotti, a jar of shenga chutney pudi, a box of karadantu someone brought back from Gokak.
Uttaramane will bring these foods to the city properly. We plan to source from home kitchens and small makers in Ilkal, Hungund, Hubballi, Bagalkot, Bengaluru, repack them hygienically with clear labels and shelf-life dates, and deliver across Bengaluru.
What we're doing right now
Before we buy a single kilo, we want to know what you'd actually order. That's what this site is for. Browse the foods, vote for the ones you want, and join the launch list. We'll use your details only to tell you when we're live.
When and where
- Where: Bengaluru only, to begin with.
- When: we're aiming for early 2027.
- How: direct delivery from us first, then on the quick-commerce apps you already use.
