The short version: we collect your email (and phone, if you give it) only to tell you when Uttaramane launches in Bengaluru. We don't sell it, share it or use it for anything else.
What we collect
- Email address (required), and phone number (optional).
- The foods you pick, your area in Bengaluru, and any request you type.
- The page you signed up from and the campaign link that brought you, if any.
Votes
When you tap "I'd buy this", we store which food you voted for and a one-way, salted fingerprint of your connection (made from your IP address and browser type) so that each device gets one vote per food. We never store your IP address itself, and the fingerprint can't be turned back into it. Your browser also remembers your own votes locally so the buttons show them as voted.
Why
To send you one message when we launch, and to decide which foods and areas to start with. That is all.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, and Google Analytics, which uses cookies, to count visits and see which foods people look at. These tools don't receive your email or phone number.
Where it's stored
Sign-ups are stored in a private Cloudflare database that only our team can access. Spam protection is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Your rights
In line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at any time. Email hello@uttaramane.com and we'll act within 7 days.
